The DANNIJO Gift Guide Series: Michelle Liat Fawbush
Monday, December 14th, 2009

Michelle Liat Fawbush was a no-brainer for the DANNIJO Gift Guide. She’s been one of my closest friends since our middle school days where we first met on the court at basketball practice.  I know what you’re thinking.  Yeah, we were ballers.  Michelle has got to be one of the funniest, most effortlessly cool girls I know.  Her style ranges from classic to what she likes to call “grunge-rock-star.” If you don’t know what that means, just look for her when she’s on the dance floor.  She is the ultimate coolest. She loves sports and doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty on the court, but she also loves to get glammed up and has a great sense of style.  She’s quirky and fun.  Michelle worked at Bon Appetit for 2 years and recently left to pursue a career in fashion.  This past weekend she hosted a DANNIJO trunk show in Palm Beach at Eye of the Needle.  She’s currently running the DANNIJO boutique at Henri Bendel (3rd floor) and will be there to help you pick out gifts and assist you in your personal shopping needs.  So if you want the LIVE Michelle, go to Henri Bendel (Scroll down for her schedule). For now, read her tips…

Describe your personal style Tough Question.  Depends on my mood… I like the classy look but also like the grunge-rock-star look sometimes.  Shopping gets expensive so I love that I can throw on a necklace or some stacked cuffs to accentuate whatever look I decide to portray that day/night.

What is your favorite accessory and why? Is there something you wear everyday? I love rings because when I’m at work, or driving or doing anything that involves looking at my fingers (I know it sounds absolutely silly, but lets be honest we look at our hands more than anything else all day– right?) it makes me happy when I look down and see a beautiful ring (and no— not talking engagement ring yet!)  I love the Mali ring (easy to wear with any outfit because it has both silver and gold..and it’s edgy so I feel like a bad ass when I wear it)

What do you plan on giving this year? DANNIJO. Duh. My friends and family always complement me when I wear DANNIJO so it’s a guaranteed holiday gift success.

What item at DANNIJO.com would you give to your mom? Laurie U earrings.  Great for a holiday party and I love that they are clip-ons— my mom prefers clip on’s

your best friend? Mali ring. awesome and affordable

would YOU want from your mom or friends? Chanterilli necklace.  I’ve worn this before and feel absolutely amazing and confident every time I wear it (crazy how jewelry can make you feel better about yourself!)

What holiday gift would you want the man in your life to buy you at dannijo.com and why? Harley necklace.  It goes with so many different outfits (day and night) and it’s AWESOME!  Axl cuff.  Everyone looks good in the Axl Cuff.  Every time I wear it both guys and girls stop me and ask me where I got it.  Great gift and good staple piece.  But if the recession is hitting you hard—and you want a happy girlfriend—-buy her the Jacinda ring…it looks very expensive and fantastic on.
